Claire’s Experience
Claire has been in counselling with us since 2021 and has engaged in both 1-1 and couples counselling. Having had sessions both online and face to face, Claire feels a connection with the therapists she has worked with, and feels more listened to and understood. Claire explained that she doesn’t feel like “one of many clients”. She feels as though her therapist has a genuine interest in her journey.
Claire uses counselling to explore general worries and anxieties as well as getting to know herself. Stating she is not naturally introspective, Claire feels it is important to have time carved out to reflect with the guidance of a counsellor. Claire felt initially that her problems didn’t warrant counselling, however now, she feels that no matter how big or small, her experiences have been taken seriously, handled empathically and without judgement. Without this counselling, Claire imagines she’d find herself struggling more emotionally and is therefore pleased she is able to engage in this work for herself.
