Join our student counselling placements
Simply Counselling has been providing student placements for almost 20 years. Our trainees are offered an environment in which they can deepen their self awareness, grow their resilience and work toward becoming authentic counsellors. Our friendly and supportive team allows for students to learn from every interaction, both in the counselling room as well as in the staff room and in group supervision.
We would be delighted to consider you for a clinical placement if you are currently undertaking a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
What we offer
- You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients
- An opportunity to work face to face, online or via telephone
- A mix of short term or longer term work
- You will be allocated an individual supervisor for monthly supervision sessions at a cost of £7.50. Support is also available throughout the month should it be required.
- We offer free and subsidized training opportunities.
- We facilitate monthly group supervision with two supervisors at no cost.
- You’ll have the opportunity to have discussions and learn from a passionate team of counsellors
- An opportunity to practice and develop your counselling skills, grow your resilience and develop your inner supervisor
We ask you to
- You will be supported to work up to seeing a minimum of 4 clients
- Source and fund your own monthly external supervision
- Attend monthly group supervision
