Are you curious about counselling or looking to deepen your ability to listen, understand, and support others – at home, at work, or in your community?

Whether you’re considering a career change, returning to work after a break, or simply looking for more meaningful connection in your life, our new Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills could be your next step.

What is this course about?

This is a foundational counselling skills course designed to introduce you to key helping skills, develop your self-awareness, and build your understanding of human relationships and emotional wellbeing.

You don’t need previous experience – just a willingness to explore, reflect and grow.

Who is it for?

This course is ideal for people who are:

  • Returning to work or exploring new career paths
  • Working in schools, healthcare, housing, or social care
  • Employed in community, youth, or justice services
  • Supporting others through mental health, addiction, or life challenges
  • Parents, carers, or volunteers wanting to communicate better
  • Interested in personal development or improving relationships

“You don’t have to want to become a counsellor to gain something powerful from this course.”

What you’ll learn

  • Listening deeply and with empathy
  • Setting healthy boundaries
  • Understanding yourself and your patterns
  • Building trust and psychological safety
  • Core theories like the Person-Centred Approach, Attachment Theory, and Trauma-Informed Practice
  • How to support others without ‘fixing’ them

You’ll be part of a small, supportive group where learning is experiential, reflective, and safely held.
