Simply Counselling

Simply is set up as a Community Interest Company, which means that any small profits generated go back into providing counselling for those in need but who would otherwise not be able to afford it.

Most of our counsellors provide their services on a voluntary basis. Our paid counsellors also volunteer some of their time, providing tailored services by using lifelong skills in giving something back to the community.

Domestic Abuse Service

The Benefits to the client will help:

  • Increase their ability to adequately function in their lives and overcome social and economic exclusion.
  • Bring about positive change in the lives of individuals and families
  • Improve self-esteem
  • Encourage clients to become involved and feel ownership
of their own therapy rather than helpless victims.

Unfortunately we can no longer accept new clients onto this service as funding has now run out, but we are applying for similar funding and will update on our website and Facebook if we are successful.

Simply counselling, are grateful for the contributions received from external funders’ clients and philanthropists who see the value of our work and have funded counselling services previously.

We work with patients who are suffering from the trauma of their life-changing condition. Simply’s intervention addresses underlying problems and can help improve effectiveness and practical support for clients, to help them overcome challenges and turn their lives around by helping them to cope and change. In the long term Simply’s help will increase clients knowledge and self-awareness, increasing personal resilience, confidence, making positive changes in their lives for the better.

HeartSWell has kindly financed a special room based at ground floor level for people with mobility problems, (unfortunately there are 3 steps up into the building, but staff are willing to help you with these).  Simply have been entrusted by local authorities such as Plymouth City Council and Plymouth Primary Care Trust, in the past, to deliver contracts to help individuals and families in difficult special situations.  For those provided with funded counselling we expect commitment to attend all appointments as they are crucial to the successful outcome.  Please note these places are limited due to extreme demand.

Plymouth Guild - Carers Hub provide sub contract their counselling services to us. If you are a carer and feel you would benefit from counselling, please contact them on: 01752 201890
