Simply counselling, are grateful for the contributions received from external funders’ clients and philanthropists who see the value of our work and have funded the following counselling services:
- HeartSWell for victims of heart disease, survivors, their carers and families
- Stroke Service , those who have a heart condition, their carers and families
- Adult and young parent carers (subcontracted by Carers Hub)
- Women who are at risk of offending referred to us by PROMIS (Plymouth Reducing Offending through Meaningful Intervention Service)
We work with patients who are suffering from the trauma of their life-changing condition. Generally our counselling support helps patients, family members, careers and staff become more engaged in society. Simply’s intervention addresses underlying problems and can help improve effectiveness and practical support for clients, to help them overcome challenges and turn their lives around by helping them to cope and change. In the long term Simply’s help will increase clients knowledge and self-awareness, increasing personal resilience, confidence, making positive changes in their lives for the better.
HeartSWell has kindly financed a special room based at ground floor level for people with mobility problems. Simply have been entrusted by local authorities such as Plymouth City Council and Plymouth Primary Care Trust to deliver contracts to help individuals and families in difficult special situations. For those provided funded counselling we expect commitment to attend all appointments as they are crucial to the successful outcome. Please note these places are limited due to extreme demand.
